The Compagnie Française des Voitures Électromobiles was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Paris-based company began producing automobiles in 1900. The brand names were Cardinet and Cardina . Production ended in 1907.

Brand name Cardinet

This brand name was used for electric cars between 1900 and 1906 . Electric motors provided the drive . Initially the batteries were mounted below the frame, from 1901 above. There was a choice between open and closed bodies . Among them was a Landaulet with front-wheel drive and a hansom cab in which two motors drives the rear wheels.

Brand name Cardina

This brand name was given to the vehicles with gasoline engines that were only built in 1907. It was powered by a 20 hp engine.
