Company history

In 1898, Victor Vermorel hired François Pilain (1859–1924), who had previously worked for Serpollet , La Buire and the Société François Pilain . Some automobiles were built under his leadership until August 1901. The brand name was Vermorel . Automobiles were not made again until 1908. In 1911 the company employed 800 people. After Édouard Vermorel's death in 1957, the company changed hands several times. In 1965 the company was dissolved.
