The Société Rochet was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Compagnie Générale des Cycles et Autos , later renamed Société Rochet , began building automobiles in Paris in 1899 . The brand name was Rochet . Danneels built vehicles under license . Automobile production ended in 1905. In 1910 the company was dissolved. There was no connection to Rochet Frères from Lyon , which at the time also offered automobiles under the Rochet brand name .

Models

The first 6/8 CV model had a two-cylinder engine in the rear that drove the rear wheels via chains. The engine came from Rossel and was originally based on a design by Daimler. The 12 CV model followed in 1900 . 1902 the smaller model came 4 ½ CV with a single cylinder engine of Aster it.
