Automobiles Alba was a French manufacturer of automobiles . Other sources name the company Constructions Métallurgiques, Usines Alba and Constructions Métallurgiques .

Company history

The Suresnes company started producing automobiles in 1913 . The brand name was Alba . Production ended in 1928. There was also a connection with Bobby-Alba .

vehicles

The company manufactured mid-range vehicles. Various four-cylinder built -in engines provided the drive . A small engine with side valves and 1170 cm³ displacement and a larger engine with OHV valve control and 1476 cm³ displacement were available from SCAP . Altos supplied engines with 1994 cc displacement, which had either side valves or OHV valve control. Another source also cites Ballot , Fivet , National, and Ruby motors .

In 1924 a vehicle took part in the Le Mans 24-hour race .

A vehicle of this brand can be seen in the Collecció d'Automòbils de Salvador Claret car museum in Sils , and another was exhibited in the 1999 car museum in Geneva . There is also a restored vehicle in Switzerland .
