Lacoste & Battmann was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Jacques Lacoste founded J. Lacoste et Cie in Paris in 1897 to manufacture automobiles. In 1901 the name was changed to Lacoste & Battmann and 1905 in Lacoste & Battmann Ltd . In addition to the company's own vehicle construction, finished chassis were also sold to competing companies and subsidiaries such as Cupelle , Gamage , Imperial , Jackson , L & B , Lacoba , Lancaster , Napoleon , Regal , Simplicia and Speedwell , who completed the chassis into complete cars and offered them under their own names .

Production ended in 1913.

A vehicle of this brand occasionally competes in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run .
