Imperial was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Imperial Autocar Manufacturing Co Limited began in 1900 in Manchester in the production of automobiles. Production ended in 1905.

The first two models were the 3 ½ HP with a single-cylinder engine under the seat in the body shape Vis-à-vis and 6 HP with a two-cylinder -Frontmotor and the body form viersitziger Tonneau . Shortly afterwards, the single-cylinder model 6 HP with a chassis from Lacoste & Battmann was added.

A vehicle of this brand can be seen at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester .
