Little Midland

The Little Midland Light Car Company was a British automobile manufacturer based in Preston, Lancashire . This company manufactured small cars and cycle cars under the name LM from 1905 to 1922 .

As early as 1905 there was a 7½ hp model with a single cylinder engine , of which no further data are known.

In 1911 a car with an air-cooled V2 engine was created, which had a displacement of 964 cm³ and developed an output of 7 bhp (5.1 kW). The wheelbase of the 3124 mm long roadster was 2362 mm, its track width 990 mm. The vehicle weight was 203 kg.

In 1914 the LM got water cooling. The power increased to 8 bhp (5.9 kW) and the vehicle weight was given as 292 kg. It was built in this form until 1916.

After the First World War , a slightly shorter and wider vehicle appeared in 1918 with the same engine. Its wheelbase was 2210 mm, its track width was 1054 mm. This last LM model was produced until 1922.
