Gilchrist Cars

The Gilchrist Cars Ltd. was a British car manufacturer in Govan (Glasgow) . 1920–1923 a middle class model was created .

It appears that engineer Sam Gilchrist worked with his previous employer, commercial vehicle manufacturer Caledon Industrial Motor Vehicles , to build the vehicle .

In 1920 a conventional touring car appeared with the Gilchrist 12 hp , which was equipped with an overhead four-cylinder in-line engine from Hotchkiss from France . The engine had a displacement of 1.6 l and the car had a wheelbase of 2,845 mm.

In 1923 the brand disappeared again from the market.
