Pick was a British automobile and motorcycle manufacturer .

Company history

The company Jacques H. Pick & Co from Stamford in Lincolnshire began in 1898 with the production of automobiles that were offered as Pick. In 1908 it was renamed New Pick Motor Company Limited , and in 1915 it was renamed Pick Motor Company Limited . Between 1908 and 1915 the vehicles were offered as New Pick . Production ended in 1925.

Pick

The first vehicle in 1898 was a dog cart. In 1900 a two-seater with a rear engine followed. In 1901 the 5 HP model with a front engine appeared. In 1903 the models 6 HP with two-cylinder boxer engine and 10 HP with two-cylinder engine and 1432 cm³ displacement appeared .

A vehicle of this brand occasionally competes in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run .

New pick

In 1908 the four-cylinder model 12/14 HP with 2957 cm³ displacement appeared under the new brand name , followed in 1909 by the 14/16 HP with either 2532 cm³ or 3232 cm³ displacement. In 1912 there was the 16/18 HP with 3601 cm³ displacement and from 1913 the 20 HP with the same engine.

Pick

The last model was the 22.5 HP , which was offered between 1923 and 1925. The four-cylinder engine with 3601 cm³ cubic capacity corresponded to the previous model.

motorcycles

The company also made motorcycles. The only surviving motorcycle is from 1912. It is in the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull .
