Stephens was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Engineer R. Stephens began manufacturing automobiles in Clevedon , Somerset in 1898 . Production ended in 1900.

Two different models were made. One was the 8 HP with a two-cylinder rear engine in the Dogcart body shape, the other a bus with 9 seats.

A vehicle of this brand belongs to the collection at Leonardslee Gardens in Lower Beeding near Horsham . This and a second vehicle of this brand occasionally take part in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run .
