Progress was a British manufacturer of bicycles and automobiles .

Company history

The company Progress Cycle Co Limited of Coventry began in 1898 with the production of automobiles.

In 1903 the company went into liquidation and was taken over by West Limited .

vehicles

In the first models 3½ HP with a motor from De Dion-Bouton and 4½ HP with a motor from Aster , the motor was mounted in the rear. There were two-seater and four-seater vis-à-vis body styles . From 1902 the engines were mounted in the front of the vehicle. There was also the 8 HP model with a two-cylinder engine from the Daimler Motor Company .

A vehicle of this brand occasionally competes in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run .
