JJ Leonard was a British automobile manufacturer.

Company history

The London company began producing automobiles in 1904 . The brand names were Leonard and Medici . Production ended in 1906.

Small cars were on offer . The smaller model Leonard 6 HP had a single-cylinder engine from De Dion-Bouton with a displacement of about 850 cm³, the performance of which was far inadequate for the heavy, wooden chassis .

A more powerful two-cylinder engine from Tony Huber with 12 HP power drove the Medici 10/12 HP model . Its chassis was made of steel . The target group were country doctors.
