GWK was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company GWK Limited began in 1911 Datchet in Windsor and Maidenhead in the production of automobiles. In 1914 it moved to Maidenhead . Production ended in 1931. GWK stands for the founders Arthur G rice, J. Talfourd W ood and CM K eiller.
vehicles
Produced cyclecars and small cars. The first 8 HP model was available until 1918. It was equipped with a two-cylinder engine from Coventry Climax with a displacement of 1069 cm³ and weighed 292 kg. The successor model 10.8 HP from 1919 to 1923 had a four-cylinder engine from Coventry Climax with 1368 cm³ displacement and 22 HP power. In 1922 there was also the 9.2 HP with a two-cylinder engine and 1069 cm³ displacement. Between 1923 and 1926 the 11.8 HP with a four-cylinder engine and 1496 cc displacement was offered. In 1927 another 10.8 HP appeared with a 1368 cm³ displacement. The last model G 7 from 1931 was the smallest model, it was equipped with a two-cylinder engine with 748 cm³ displacement in the rear. GWK also used continuously variable friction gears in its vehicles.
A vehicle of this make can be seen at the Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum in Halland , East Sussex .
