Ashby Motors

The Ashby Motors Ltd. was a British car manufacturer based in Chorlton-cum-Hardy in Manchester . 1922–1923 only one model was made there.

The 8 hp had a four-cylinder in-line engine with 969 cm³ displacement and side-mounted valves . The light car had its roots in the aviation industry, Short Brothers and Harland Ltd. and was built as a Short Ashby as early as 1921 .
