Thompson Brothers (Bilston) Ltd. is a British company and former manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Bilston in 1810 to manufacture boilers. Chassis for various automobile manufacturers and motorcycles were later created . In 1919 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was TB . Production ended in 1924. In total, around 150 or around 500 cars were built. After that, the company manufactured commercial vehicles. The company still exists today.

The company manufactured cyclecars . These were initially tricycles with a single rear wheel. Most vehicles powered a V2 engine from JAP with 961 cm³ displacement . Alternatively, built-in motors from Blackburne and MAG were also available. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheel via a cardan shaft . There was a choice between two and three-speed transmissions. A two-seater touring car with one door and a doorless sports car were on offer.

Some four wheeled vehicles were also made.
