Crouch was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Crouch Cars Limited of Coventry began in 1912 with the production of automobiles. Production ended in 1928.

The first model was called the Carette . It was a tricycle with the single wheel at the back. The two-cylinder engine with initially 904 cm³ displacement was replaced from 1914 by an engine with 1018 cm³ displacement, which made 10 hp . Between 1914 and 1921 there was the 4-wheeler model with four wheels, whose two-cylinder engine from Coventry Climax with a displacement of 1115 cm³ was mounted in the center of the vehicle. In 1922 the 8/18 HP followed with a front engine and 1248 cm³ displacement, which was offered until 1923. Only in 1924 there was the 10 HP , whose four-cylinder engine with 1197 cm³ displacement came from Anzani . From 1923 there was the four-cylinder model 12 HP with 1496 cm³ displacement and 30 HP, and from 1926 the smaller four-cylinder model 11/27 HP with 1368 cm³ displacement.

A vehicle of this make can be viewed at the Coventry Transport Museum in Coventry.
