Marshall-Arter Ltd. , previously Marshall, Arter & Co. , was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Marshall, Arter & Co. from the London borough of Hammersmith began producing automobiles in 1912. The brand name was initially QED , later Marshall-Arter . In 1913 the name was changed to Marshall-Arter Ltd. Production ended in 1915.

The company manufactured small cars. The first model was the 8/10 HP . He had a V2 engine with 964 cm³ displacement . The wheelbase of the light vehicle was 2591 mm.

In 1914, just at the outbreak of World War I , two models with four-cylinder engines replaced the first model. The in- line engines came from Chapuis-Dornier . The engine of the 10/12 HP had a displacement of 1094 cm³, the engine of the 12/14 HP had 1244 cm³. Both cars had a wheelbase of 2667 mm. The weaker one was only built in 1914, the stronger one until 1915.
