Company history

The Keynsham company started producing automobiles in 1903. The brand name was Avon . Production ended in 1912.

The first Trimobile model was a tricycle with a single front wheel. A water-cooled single - cylinder engine manufactured in-house was mounted in the rear and drove the rear axle via a chain. The engine power increased over the years from 4 HP over 4.5 HP and 5 HP up to 6 HP. The transmission had three gears. The bench offered space for two people. New prices, as far as is known, were £ 84 in 1904 and £ 99.75 in 1905.

In 1905 a four-wheeled car was added to the range. The 5 HP engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle. The price in 1905 was £ 111.30.
