Electric Motive Power Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from the London borough of Balham began producing automobiles in 1894. The brand name was EMP . Production ended in 1900. In total, only a few vehicles were sold.

Initially, horse-drawn buses were equipped with an electric motor . Passenger cars were built from 1897 onwards. Mentioned are a 2 HP as a four-seater Victoria, a 5 HP as a dog cart and another 2 HP as a tricycle. The range of a vehicle was given as 35 km.
