Eagle was a British car brand.

Company history

Ralph Jackson, who previously worked for Century Engineering , founded Eagle Engineering & Motor Co Limited in Altrincham , Cheshire in 1901 to manufacture automobiles . In 1907 it was taken over by St. George's Motor Car Co Limited from Leeds . The vehicles were then offered as the New Eagle . Production ended in 1908.

The first model was the tandem , a tricycle with the single wheel at the back. Between 1903 and 1906 there were the two-cylinder models 9 HP with 1244 cm³ displacement and 12/16 HP with 2471 cm³ displacement as well as the four-cylinder model 16 HP .

A vehicle of this make can be seen at the Caister Castle Motor Museum in Caister-on-Sea .

New Eagle

From 1907 the four-cylinder models 10/12 HP , 24/30 HP and 35/45 HP were available under the brand name New Eagle .
