Horley Motor & Engineering

The Horley Motor & Engineering Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer in Horley, Surrey , producing light vehicles between 1904 and 1909. The brand names were Horley and No Name . Horley also sold Lacoste & Battmann vehicle parts .

Models

The first model was the 8 HP , which was sold under both brand names. A single-cylinder engine from MMC was installed in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The body offered space for two people. The original price was £ 105 .

In 1906 this model became the Horley 9 HP , which had an engine with 1182 cm³ displacement . The wheelbase was 1828 mm.

This model was replaced by the Horley 8½ HP in 1907 . It was a light touring car and had a water-cooled, side-controlled two-cylinder in-line engine with 904 cm displacement from White & Poppe. The wheelbase of the car was 1854 mm.

In 1908, a delivery van with a built-in engine from Aster added to the range.
