Albert Farnell

Albert Farnell was a British dealer of bicycles and automobiles and a manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

The Bradford company was founded by Albert Farnell. In 1897 an automobile with the brand name Farnell was created . In 1900 the company exhibited at the Yorkshire Cycle and Motor Exhibition . A motorcycle was created between 1900 and 1901 . In 1906 the company sold automobiles under the TH brand . The owner took part in car races in 1906 and 1907 with various vehicles from the Daimler Motor Company . In 1916, the company's headquarters were at 47 Manningham Lane in Bradford.

Motor vehicles

The car of 1897 had a chassis a tubular frame. A gasoline engine with 1.25 hp power drive to the vehicle. The transmission had four gears. A special feature was the independent suspension.

The motorcycle of 1901 consisted of a bicycle frame and a built-in motor of Minerva engine . The engine developed 2.75 hp.

In 1906 the 28/36 HP and 30/40 HP car models were in the range. The Daimler Motor Company produced vehicles with the same type designations. It is unclear whether these were Daimler models.
