Woodrow 8 hp (1913)

Woodrow & Company was a British automobile manufacturer based in Stockport, Cheshire . Between 1913 and 1915 they made two different models, 8 hp and 10 hp.

The cars manufactured in 1913 were equipped with air or water-cooled V2 engines from JAP with a capacity of 964 cm³, a three-speed gearbox and a chain to the rear axle. Unlike other small cars of the time, a differential was built into the rear axle. In 1914/15 these engines were supplemented by a larger engine, which had a displacement of 1090 cm³, was only available with water cooling and was supplied by Precision . There was also a sports version with a long, tapered bonnet. The Woodrow was very large for its class with a length of 3302 mm and a width of 1219 mm. The weight was 356 kg and was thus above the limit of the cycle cars .
