The Stag Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles , motorcycles and engines .

Company history

The company from Sherwood or Sherwood Forest near Nottingham began in 1913 with the production of automobiles, motorcycles and engines. The brand name was Stag . Production ended in 1914.

The only model was a cycle car . A self-made single-cylinder engine with 763 cm³ displacement and 5-6  HP or 5.5 HP drove the drive axle via a belt. The three-speed transmission came from Jardine. The original price was 89.25 pounds .

The AW Heybourn & Company and the Oakleigh Motor Company used in motors of the Stag Company in their vehicles.
