East Riding Cycle Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles .
Company history
The Kingston upon Hull company began manufacturing automobiles in 1898. The brand names were Vipen and Holderness . In 1902 motorcycles added to the range. Production ended in 1904.
Automobiles
The first models were large vehicles in the style of the Panhard & Levassor models and MMC. In 1902 a smaller model with a two-cylinder engine and 12 hp was added. The last model was a four-seat tonneau introduced in 1903 , which was similar to the De Dion-Bouton models .
