Marshall & Co was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company began producing automobiles in Manchester in 1897 . In 1902 it was taken over by Belsize Motor & Engineering Co Limited . There was no connection to Marshall, Sons & Co. of Gainsborough , who manufactured steam engines and tractors from 1895 , and neither to PFE Marshall of Gainsborough, who manufactured passenger cars between 1919 and 1920 .

The only model offered was the 4½ HP . It resembled the French Hurtu , which in turn resembled the German Benz . The single cylinder engine was mounted in the rear. There was the body shape vis-à-vis .

A vehicle of this brand can be seen at the Streetlife, Hull Museum of Transport in Kingston upon Hull .
