The Sheffield Motor Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Harold and Ernest H. Hall and Archie Barnes founded the company in Sheffield in 1903 . Barnes was their director. In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Cavendish . Production ended in 1905. Seven vehicles from this manufacturer were registered in the greater Sheffield area. In 1906, the company sold Argyll Motors and Humber automobiles . In the same year, Nesthill Properties Ltd. the enterprise.

One source gives 6 hp , 9 hp and 10 hp engines, with the weakest engine coming from De Dion-Bouton .
