The Alvechurch Light Car Company was a British company.

Company history

The Dunkley family, who already ran the Dunkley Car Company , founded the company in 1911. The seat was in Alvechurch near Birmingham . In the same year the production of automobiles began . The brand name was Alvechurch . The success in the market was low. Two vehicles were built up to the end of production in 1911. One source suggests the failure led to the company's bankruptcy .

The only model was a cycle car. A V-2 engine of Matchless 8 hp (5.9 kW) drive to the vehicle. The engine was air-cooled . The power was transmitted by means of a belt drive.
