Vining Tractor & Motor Manufacturing Company Ltd. was a British manufacturer of automobiles and commercial vehicles .
Company history
The company from the London borough of Shepherd's Bush manufactured buses , tractors and engines , which were marketed as Vining-Hallett . In 1907 the production of cars began. The brand name was FD . In the same year their production ended.
Automobiles
FD was for Front Drive , so front-wheel drive . A four-cylinder engine was mounted transversely in the front of the vehicle . The engine power was transmitted via a chain to the transmission above, and from there via spur gears to the front wheels. Probably only one or two copies of this model were made.
There was also a taxi , also with front-wheel drive.
