Universal (car brand)

Universal was a British automobile brand that was founded by Turner's Motor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. from 1914–1916 . was made in Wolverhampton, Stadffordshire .

In 1914 the 10 hp with 1.1 l displacement and the 11.9 hp with 1.8 l displacement came out. Both cars were equipped with four-cylinder engines and had a wheelbase of 2,591 mm and a track width of 1,219 mm.

In 1915 they were replaced by the larger 10/15 hp and 12/20 hp models . The 10/15 hp had a displacement of 1.3 l and was available with wheelbases of 2,438 mm or 2,591 mm. The 12/20 hp had a displacement of 2.2 l and its wheelbase was 2,642 mm. These two models were built until 1916.

After that, the company gave up the Universal brand name and only offered automobiles under the Turner name.
