Hall & Martin was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from the London borough of Croydon was a dealer for automobiles and motorcycles . In 1904 the production of automobiles began under the direction of Harry Martin. The brand name was Martin . Production initially ended in 1906. In 1912 another racing car was built .

In 1904 the 6½ HP model was available . A built-in engine from De Dion-Bouton was mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The chassis was made of wood. The barrel body offered space for four people. The 12 HP followed in 1905 . A two-cylinder engine of Aster drove the vehicle. This vehicle was also available as a tonneau.

In 1912, a three-wheel racing car was created as a one-off for Mr. Axford, which was used on the Brooklands circuit .
