Korte was a British automobile brand.

Company history

Korte, Atkinson & Co. from Leeds used the brand name between 1900 and 1903. Rice & Co. Ltd. continued production until 1905. Rice had previously successfully built motorcycles.

Initially, tricycles and quadricycles were created that were similar to the models by De Dion-Bouton .

Rice's only model was the 12/14 HP . It was very similar to the Gilbert , had a two-cylinder engine mounted transversely at the front , a four-speed gearbox and chain drive. There was a choice of barrel bodies with four and six seats. This automobile was significantly less successful than the motorcycles previously built.
