AW Wall Ltd. was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Arthur William Wall founded the company in Guildford in 1903 to manufacture motorcycles , which were branded Roc . One of the partners was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle . Automobile construction began in 1911. The brand names were Roc , Walcycar and Wall . From 1904 the location was in Birmingham and later in Hay Mills . The last location was Tyseley near Birmingham. Production ended in 1915.

These were small cars with three wheels. The single wheel was in the front. The engine was mounted behind the front wheel and drove the rear axle via a cardan shaft . There was a choice between a single cylinder engine with 4-5 hp and a V2 engine from Precision . The new price was £ 94.50 and £ 101.85, depending on the engine .

Brand name Walcycar

This was a four-wheeled cycle car . A V2 engine from JAP with 8 HP power drove the rear axle via a cardan shaft. The price was £ 99.75.
