National Motor Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Manchester company started producing automobiles in 1904. The brand name was National . Production ended in 1905. There was no association with Rose Bros. of Gainsborough , which used the same brand name.

vehicles

The only model was a Tricar , a tricycle with a single rear wheel. The driver sat on the back of a motorcycle saddle. Between the front wheels there was either a basket seat for a passenger or a box for cargo. A water-cooled single cylinder engine from MMC with 4 HP power propelled the vehicle. The transmission had two gears.
