Raglan Cycle & Anti-Friction Ball Company Ltd. was a British manufacturer of motorcycles , bicycles and automobiles .
Company history
The Coventry company was founded on December 4, 1896 as the successor to Taylor, Cooper and Bednell and Anti-Friction Ball Co. 1899 and 1903 a number of automobiles were built. The brand name was Raglan . Between 1903 and 1913 the company produced bicycles and motorcycles. In 1921 the company was dissolved.
Automobiles
In 1896, vehicles were created that resembled the models from International Motor Car , which in turn were the models from Benz & Cie. were modeled on. A series of twelve vehicles was planned, but it is unclear whether that many were actually produced.
In 1903 a forecar based on one of their motorcycles was on offer. The engine had a water-cooled cylinder head and developed 3.75 hp .
