Abingdon (motorcycle)
Abingdon is a British motorcycle brand that has been used by three different companies:
- Abingdon Ecco Ltd, Shadwell Street, Tyseley, Birmingham
- Abingdon Works Ltd., Kings Road, Tyseley, Birmingham
- Coxeter & Sons, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
The companies processed built-in motors from Minerva , Fafnir and MMC as well as motors manufactured in-house as early as the 1910s. The bikes were of reasonable quality. Displacement sizes between 350 cm³ and 800 cm³ were available. The brand first went out around 1925. In 1927 the brand name was revived in Abingdon King Dick (AKD).
