Phelon & Moore
Phelon & Moore (P&M) from Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire , England (1900–1967) is one of the first motorcycle manufacturers and pioneers in motorcycle construction. Their slogan was: "The Perfected Motorcycle" . The company became world famous as a manufacturer of single-cylinder, forward-sloping four-stroke motorcycles ( "slopers" ) with a displacement of 500, 600 or, most recently, 650 cm³ , which became known from 1924 under the name Panther . The engine is installed as a supporting element of the frame.
Phelon & Moore also manufactured 250 and 350 cc four-stroke motorcycles with a vertical cylinder .
In the 1950s, the model range was supplemented by 200 to 324 cc two-stroke motorcycles . Motors from Villiers Ltd were installed here.
