Pritchett & Gold was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from the London borough of Feltham was formed in 1901 from Pritchett Brothers . It made batteries . In 1902 the production of automobiles began. The brand names were Meteor and Pritchett , possibly P&G . Automobile production ended in 1905. The successor company was Pritchett and Gold and EPS Co. Ltd. in 1920 .

Electric cars emerged between 1902 and 1903 and were marketed as Pritchett & Gold . The front hood was similar to the hoods of the Renault models at the time . The body offered space for two people.

Vehicles with the brand name Meteor existed between 1903 and 1905. They had a gasoline engine . There was a choice of the models 12 HP with a built-in motor from Blake and 24 HP with a motor from Mutel . Both engines were four-cylinder engines . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft . A source also gives a small car with an engine from De Dion-Bouton .
