Thor Motor Car Co. was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The London company began producing automobiles in 1904. The brand name was Thor . Production ended in 1906.

The first model 6/8 HP had a single cylinder engine from Simms Manufacturing , a three-speed gearbox and cardan drive . Solid rubber tires instead of pneumatic tires were already out of date back then. The body offered space for two people.

The 12/14 HP model followed in 1905 with a two-cylinder engine , solid rubber tires and chain drive to the rear axle. Chain drive was also out of date for a vehicle of this size.
