British Motor & Engineering

The British Motor & Engineering Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer in Caversham (Berkshire) . There were 1905-1907 middle class cars manufactured under the name British .

In 1905 the 6 hp , 10/12 hp , 14 hp and 16 hp appeared at the same time . The 6 hp had a two-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 707 cm³, while the other cars were equipped with four-cylinder engines with a displacement of 1,414 cm³, 1,608 cm³ and 2,344 cm³. All engines were counter-controlled .

All cars had the same chassis with a 2591 mm wheelbase. At the end of 1907 the brand disappeared again from the market.
