Company history
George Perry founded a warehouse in Liverpool in 1758 . This later became the Phoenix Foundry company . William Fawcett bought the company in 1794 and renamed it in Fawcett & Co. to. Around 1820 it became Fawcett, Preston . In 1907 the company was Fowler, Preston & Company Ltd. The company manufactured automobiles between 1907 and 1909. The brand name was Fawcett-Fowler . In 1935 the company moved to Bromborough . Metal Industries Group took over in 1947 or 1948 .

Steam cars were on offer . The 20/25 HP model had a four-cylinder engine under the bonnet and the boiler above the rear axle. The open touring car offered space for five people. The round condenser on the front of the first vehicles was reminiscent of the round radiator grille of some gasoline cars such as B. from Delaunay-Belleville . The front later resembled vehicles from the Daimler Motor Company .
