Christian Voss (born February 20, 1762 in Stargard in Western Pomerania ; † January 25, 1832 in Marsow near Schlawe in Western Pomerania) was a German Protestant clergyman.

Voss had prepared himself to study theology at the University of Königsberg at the schools in his hometown Stargard . Following his father's wish, he wanted to become a pastor. In Königsberg, however, Voss also heard lectures on philosophy , philology and physics . After completing his university studies, he accepted a position as a private tutor for a noble family based between Braunsberg and Heiligenbeil in East Prussia . He worked in this position for several years.

He then gave up the position, returned to Stargard for a short period and became tutor and tutor for a noble family in Mecklenburg . Around 1806, the Franco-Prussian War was announced. Since Voss was already of advanced age, but had not yet found a permanent job with pension entitlements, he traveled to Berlin in 1806 to apply as a military chaplain to the Prussian army. However, the Prussian defeat in the Battle of Jena put an end to his hopes. He then accepted a position offered to him as rector of the city school of Lebus . He was in charge of this office for several years.

On the recommendation of his brother, who was pastor at the St. John's Church in Stargard, Voss was employed in 1811 as an assistant pastor to Pastor Abel Friedrich Expertus in Marsow . When Expertus died the following year, Voss became his successor. He was pastor of Marsow, Görshagen and Schlackow as well as interim pastor of the parish of Pustamin . After he had looked after the church office for two decades, Voss was attacked by a debilitating illness. Since he could no longer fill the offices alone, the previous rector of the town school of Schlawe, Erdmann Luckow, was placed at his side as an assistant in the fall of 1831. Voss passed away two years later after he was almost 70 years old.

After Voss became pastor of Marsow in 1811, he had married Friederike Dorothea Erdt, daughter of the superintendent of the Synod of Lanzig , Johann Georg Friedrich Erdt. The 20-year marriage resulted in six children, three of whom survived.
