Cooperative Wholesale Society was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company based in Manchester took over in 1919 Bell Brothers from Ravensthorpe . The production of their motor vehicle models was continued. The brand name was Bell for passenger cars and CWS-Bell for commercial vehicles. In 1922 a small car was offered as the CWS . The company existed until at least 1937.

vehicles

The only model was a tricycle. A V2 engine from JAP with 8 HP power drove the individual rear wheel via a chain. The three-speed transmission came from Juckes. The original price was very high at 150 pounds .
