Ascot Motor & Manufacturing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ascot Motor & Manufacturing Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Letchworth Garden City , Hertfordshire . 1928–1930 two very different models were built there.

The 10 hp had a four-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of 1,372 cm³. It was based on a Hungarian design and was intended for large-scale production. But the interest of the market was low and so only a small number of vehicles emerged.

The 17/45 hp was a six-cylinder model of its own design that sold slightly better. Its side-controlled engine had a displacement of 2,423 cc. This vehicle was presented in 1929.

Ascot had to close its doors as early as 1930.
