Gwynne was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Gwynne's Engineering Co Limited began in 1922 in Chiswick with the production of automobiles. In 1925 it was renamed Gwynne Cars Limited . Production ended in 1929.

The first 8 HP model appeared in 1922. Like all subsequent models, it was equipped with a four-cylinder engine. The engine made 24 HP from a displacement of 950 cc . In 1926 the displacement was increased to 1020 cm³ and in 1927 the model was discontinued. The Albert models from 1922 to 1923 and 14/40 HP from 1922 to 1928 had engines with 1944 cc. In 1923 there was also the 11.9 HP with 1496 cm³ displacement. The last model was the 10 HP , which existed from 1926 to 1929. The engine of this model made 24 HP from a displacement of 1247 cm³.

A vehicle of this make can be seen at the Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum in Halland , East Sussex .
