Scott Autocar Company Ltd. was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Alfred Angas Scott founded the Scott Motor Cycle Company for motorcycle production back in 1909 . In 1915 he designed a tricycle, which at the time was not yet going into series production. After the end of the First World War , he founded the separate company Scott Autocar Company Ltd. in Bradford . , presented vehicles at the Olympia Motor Cycle Show in 1920 and began series production. The brand name was Scott Sociable . Production ended in 1924. In 1925 the company was dissolved. A total of around 200 vehicles were built.

The only model was a tricycle and was based on a motorcycle . There were two wheels on the right side and only one wheel on the left. The front right wheel was steered with a steering wheel. The price was initially £ 273 for the Family model , which was reduced to £ 215 in 1921 and to £ 135 in 1923.

A vehicle is exhibited in the Cité de l'Automobile - Musée National - Collection Schlumpf in Mulhouse . This model has a two-cylinder engine with 573 cc displacement and 12 PS output.
