The Invicta Car Company was an English automobile manufacturer. The brand existed with interruptions from 1925 to 1949.

history

In 1925 Noel Macklin founded the company in Cobham (Surrey) . First, Henry Meadows designed a car with a 2.5-liter engine, which was offered in different chassis lengths. In 1926 the engine power was increased with a 3-liter engine, which gave way to a 4.5-liter machine in 1928. The S-Type followed in 1930 with the same 4.5-liter engine. This car was also offered in a sports car version (low chassis) and reached 100 miles per hour. In 1931 Donald Healey won the Monte Carlo Rally with a car of this type .

Production was stopped in 1937.

In 1947 the brand was revived with a Black Prince model , but only 16 copies were made, including three prototypes made by Charlesworth .
