Markham-Peasey Laminated Plastics Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Roy Markham and Wally Peasey founded the company in 1958 at Gleneldon Mews in the London borough of Streatham and began manufacturing automobiles. The brand name was Markham-Peasey . In 1961 the company was located in the Croydon district . Production ended in the same year. Super Accessories took over the company and used the brand name until 1963. A total of about 305 copies were made.
vehicles
The first model was the Saber . The vehicle was based on the chassis of the Ford Ten with a wheelbase of 228 cm (90 inches ). There was a choice of two and four-seater open bodies. The rear wheels were covered. Around 200 copies were made by 1963.
The Celeste , of which five were made, appeared at the Racing Car Show in January 1961. The convertible was in the American style of the time: large and long. Production of this model ended in the same year.
The Super Saber appeared in 1959. In contrast to the Saber, it was based on the chassis of the Austin 7 . Around 100 copies were made by 1963.
