Gazelle Sports Car Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Leeds company started producing automobiles and kits in 1975 . The brand name was Gazelle . Production ended in 1982. Classic Cars of Titchfield from Titchfield continued production from 1992 to 1994. A total of about 18 copies were made.

Only one model was on offer. It had a certain resemblance to a Mercedes-Benz SSK , as offered by Classic Motor Carriages with great success in the USA . The Mark VR version was based on the chassis of the VW Beetle and thus had the engine in the rear. The Mark CF had a front-engined Ford engine . In 1975, the new price for a complete vehicle was £ 15,000 , which was the price of a Porsche 911 .
