Midtec Sports Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
1989 Terry Mulloy founded the company in Leicester in the county of Leicestershire . He took over a project from Kitdeal and started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Midtec . Production ended in 1997. Stuart Taylor Motorsport and later Midway Sportscars continued production under their own brand names.
vehicles
The first and best-selling model was the Spyder , designed by Lee Noble at Kitdeal. This was an open two-seater. The engine was mounted lengthways behind the seats. Various engines from Ford and Renault powered the vehicles. A total of about 32 copies were made of this model.
The calico was an own development. This was also a two-seater roadster . Many parts, including the engine, came from the Ford Sierra . Headlights and taillights came from the Vauxhall Corsa . This model found around four buyers between 1994 and 1996.
In addition, Midtec manufactured the Midas Bronze between 1992 and 1997 , which Midas Cars previously manufactured.
